DR. NAINA JINGA

 
  • Bachelor of Music (1991, Academy of Music, Cluj-Napoca, Romania), Master of Music (2005, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada), Ph.D. in Music (2003, Academy of Music, Cluj-Napoca, Romania)

 

  • Over 30 years of experience as a Music teacher. Primary, Secondary and Post-Secondary European and Canadian teaching experience (theoretical subjects, composition, piano performance and singing). Preparing students for the Royal Conservatory of Music and Conservatory Canada, for the Canadian Music Competition, the Kiwanis Music Festival in London, Stratford, Toronto, St. Thomas Rotary Music Festival, Ontario Music Festivals Associations Competitions, the Young Artist Competition, or the Winnipeg Music Festival. Great results with students, such as: trophies, awards and scholarships at zonal, provincial and national levels. Teaching Certificate of Recognition for the Two Gold Medals at the Provincial level at the Royal Conservatory Music exams.

 

  • Over 30 years as a Composer. Instrumental solo, chamber music and orchestral works published and performed throughout Europe, Canada, USA and Australia.

 

  • Accompanist for vocal and instrumental musicians and students; Recitals and concerts as a soloist and chamber musician.

 

  • Registered Music Teacher; member of the Royal Conservatory of Music and Conservatory Canada; member of the Romanian Composers' League and the Canadian League of Composers; Associate Composer with the Canadian Music Centre; member of SOCAN.

 

  • Winner of many national and international awards and scholarships, among those: the UNESCO Award to attend the Banff Centre for the Arts, 1999; The Romanian Composers' League Prize 1989 and 1999, awarded by the "Gheorghe Dima", Academy of Music, Cluj, Romania; 13 Awards at National Music Competitions as a soloist-pianist and young composer, 1984-1991.                                                                               
  • Gold medalist at the Inaugural Edition of the Global International Music Competition (in the Versatile Musician category, 2021); winner of the Gold Medal at the Inaugural Edition of the Grand Maestro International Music Competition (2021); recipient of the Gold Award in the Instrumental Performance - Best Music Composer category and also in the Instrumental Performance - Best Instrumental Performance Video at the Lit Talent Awards organized in the United States (2021); recipient of the Third Award in the Professional Musician category at the Red Maple Competition organized in Toronto, Canada (2021).  In 2021 Naina also became the winner of the Grand Prize at the International Youth Music Competition - in the category Composer/Performer, Singer/Songwriter and the recipient of the Gold Award and the Artist Award in the open category at the Universal Music Stars Competition. She also won the First Prize at the USA ARTISTS OF THE YEAR International Music Competition held in December 2021 by IYMC.

* Preparation for the Royal Conservatory of Music or Canada Conservatory exams from Grade 1 to ARCT (Piano, Rudiments of Theory, Music History, Harmony, Singing for beginners).


* Coaching for auditions, competitions & festivals. Three recitals per year.


* Piano accompaniment for voice, strings, woodwinds, brass.


* Lessons focus on accommodating the individual needs and expectations.


* In teaching process, emphasis is on both: playing techniques and different styles of music.

Dr. Naina Jinga is a teacher who is truly committed to providing the best teaching possible by giving her students a great start in their music journey through emphasizing the correct foundation for developing basic music skills.

During one-on-one music classes, the teacher and the student set high-standards in preparing technique, repertoire, ear training, musical creativity, stage experience and a fine sense of music appreciation.

Pregrade - Grade 2:    45 minutes lesson

Grade 3 - Grade 4:      45-60 minutes lesson

Grade 5 - Grade 8:      60 minutes lesson
